Warranty Information

Ergomat has a very straightforward approach where warranties are concerned. As long as our products are used consistently with clearly identified and published environmental and usage restrictions we will support them completely through the full published term of the warranty. Unlike other companies who may promote a Lifetime Warranty, and then qualify the term "Lifetime" to mean some arbitrarily defined replacement cycle time frame, Ergomat publishes a specific warranty period for each of our products and stands 100% behind our products with full replacement coverage if our product fails to perform as promoted within that period. At Ergomat we call this a True Warranty.

Polyurethane Warranty Info

Ergomat hereby warrants that the products distributed shall be free of all defects in original material period of the product under normal use. All Ergomat product lines are conditionally warranted against normal usage* 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • It is considered normal usage when a person stands or walks on the Ergomat with regular footwear in an environment where the temperature is under 25o C (77o F) and the humidity is below 80%.Moreover, esthetic discoloration (rear side of the mats) or reparable small issues such as seams and bevels, do not impact the quality of the products and are not deemed a quality issue.

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. The warranty only covers the replacement of the product; no direct or indirect costs are covered. Ergomat reserves the right to inspect the mat(s) before repairing or replacing it (please refer to Return Procedure). At the preference of Ergomat, the mats must be returned or available for on-site inspection, pictures may be requested and a Return Authorization must be issued.

Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to:

  • The warranty does not cover damage caused by the mat being dragged or pulled from a heavy load or items being pushed or dragged across the product, such as skids or pallets.
  • The warranty against chemicals, oils, liquids, or other matter differs with the type of mat. Please consult your dealer or an Ergomat Rep to select the correct mat for your environment.
  • Over time in use, there may be yellowing of the white polyurethane on the underside of Infinity mats, similar to what you find with any white polymer. This can be a result of cleaning products used or other environmental factors such as humidity or UV lighting, etc. This color shift does not fall under the product warranty. It does not affect the durability, performance or functionality of the product in any way.
  • Any cutting, trimming, notching, or modification of an Ergomat product performed after manufacture, including field cutting by the customer or third parties (other than Ergomat Installers) which will void the product warranty in its entirety.
  • Damage resulting from storage, unauthorized cutting or gluing, undisclosed potentially damaging chemical/products, misuse, abuse.
  • Products used for rental purposes.
  • Ergomat shall NOT be liable for consequential or incidental damage arising from any product defect.

DuraStripe & LeanStripe Warranty

Warranty Coverage
Ergomat warrants its peel-and-stick floor marking products against manufacturing defects when installed and used in accordance with Ergomat’s installation guidelines and recommended applications.

Warranty periods by product line:

  • DuraStripe Supreme V & DuraStripe Xtreme
Covered by a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
  • LeanStripe
Covered by a 3-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty is limited to product replacement only.
Labor, installation, removal, downtime, floor repair, or any consequential or incidental damages are not covered.

Conditions That Void Warranty Coverage
Warranty coverage will be void if any of the following apply:

  • Improper surface preparation or failure to follow Ergomat installation guidelines
  • Inadequate cleaning of the floor prior to installation
  • Adhesion failure caused by residues from citrus-based, chlorine-based, oily, waxed, or film-leaving cleaners
  • Damage caused by pallets, skids, or loads being dragged, pushed, or pulled across the product by forklifts, pallet jacks, or tow motors
  • Installation over:
    • Concrete seams or expansion joints
(A minimum clearance of 3–4 in / 7–10 cm must be maintained)
    • Tiled, uneven, or damaged floor surfaces
  • Removal and reinstallation of the product
(DuraStripe® and LeanStripe® are single-application products; once removed, warranty is void)

Applications Not Recommended
DuraStripe and LeanStripe are highly durable industrial floor marking solutions, but they are not designed for every environment. Use in the following applications is not recommended and voids all warranty coverage:

  • Freezers or environments where ambient temperatures regularly drop below 4°C / 40°F
(Only Cold Storage products are suitable for lower-temperature environments – but not in freezers)
  • Diamond plate or checker plate surfaces
  • Underwater or submerged applications
  • Textured, gritted, or pebbled concrete surfaces
(In cases of fine grit texture, DuraStripe Supreme V may perform; testing prior to purchase is strongly recommended and warranty is not guaranteed)
  • Excessively wet or oily floors
  • Floors that “sweat” due to humidity or moisture migration
  • Excessively gouged, chipped, or deteriorated floors
  • Covering paint or coatings that are peeling, flaking, or releasing from the floor
  • Stair treads or steps
  • Outdoor installations
(While DuraStripe may perform in some outdoor applications, outdoor use is not warrantied)

Warranty Claim Process

  • All warranty claims must be submitted to Ergomat Customer Service.
  • Photos and supporting documentation will be required.
  • Claims are reviewed case by case.
  • Ergomat reserves the right to request product samples or returned material for evaluation prior to issuing any replacement.

Important Reminder
Selecting the correct product for your floor condition, traffic pattern, temperature, and environment is critical to long-term performance.
When floor conditions are uncertain, testing prior to full installation is strongly recommended.

For detailed installation and cleaning requirements, please refer to Ergomat’s Installation & Cleaning Guidelines or contact Customer Service.
